Santa Pants and Instructions

This was a fun project! Someone on the Cricut message board posted a cute little treat box. I decided I needed to try and make one! I only made one, but plan on making more! These are so simple, you start with a 6 x 6 piece of red cardstock.

Step 1: Score 6 x 6 piece of cardstock at 2" and 4".
Step 2: Rotate carstock 90 degrees and repeat step 1. You now have 9 sections on the square.
Step 3: Cut along the score lines from the bottom of the square to the first cross score line. You will have 2 cuts to make.
Step 4: Rotate cardstock 180 degrees so the cut side is now at the top. Repeat step 3.
Step 5: Bend the sides up and the two ends in on each side. the end pieces on one side and the end pieces from the other side overlap and should be glued together. I use my ATG gun, but you can use any stong adhesive.
Step 6: Bend up your top and bottom piece and glue to the side end pieces. You now have a cute little open top box.
Step 7: Cut 2 pieces of black cardstock 1/2" x 8 1/2". This will be for the straps.
Step 8: Glue both black pieces to the inside front of the box, on on each side of the front of the box at the bottom. Bend the cardstock over, crossing at the back and glue to the back of the box all the way to the bottom.
Step 9: Cut 8 1/2" of white trim, I found mine at the dollar store in the sewing/notions section. I used wet glue to glue the trim on, wrapping around the back, with a little extra glue where the ends overlapped.
Step 10: Cut a piece of black cardstock 1/2" x 9".
Step 11: Cut a 1" square for buckle - I used glitter sticker sheets from SandyLion. Make small slits on each side to weave black through.
Step 12: Weave black cardstock through buckle, and wrap and secure with adhesive around white trim.
Step 13: Add a couple of little candies to the box, and voila a sweet little treat!
